Maurio was born in 1995 and at the very young age of four, his older brother gave him his first skateboard. He was immediately obsessed with progression and learning new tricks, and began pushing himself to build a skill set far beyond his years.

In addition to being known as an incredibly humble and nice guy on and off the board, Maurio is probably best known for his massive floating kickflips and attacking street terrain of every kind. His technical abilities combined with his smooth style quickly cemented Maurio as a force to be reckoned with in contests and out in the streets.

At the end of 2016, Maurio moved to Los Angeles to be closer to the heart of skateboarding and immediately got busy exploring and filming video parts for sponsors. He also won the Damn Am Chicago contest in 2017 and followed that up with Damn Am wins at Woodward West and in LA.

In 2019, Maurio won second place at the World Street League Pro Tour event in Los Angeles and at that year's USA Skateboarding National Championships. Those results helped earn him a spot on the inaugural USA Skateboarding Men's Street National Team, a status he's maintained ever since.

For Maurio contests aren't as much about competing as they are about meeting his expectations of what he wants to accomplish.
