Heimana Reynolds, a native Hawaiian born and raised on the island of Oahu, embodies the island culture through his Hawaiian and Tahitian ancestry. He started skating at the young age of 6 and very quickly gained the recognition of the skate industry as one to watch in the park and bowl disciplines with his style, speed, and tenacity.

2019 proved to be a stand out year for Heimana, as he secured the Park World Championship title and dominated nearly every international skateboarding event. But he started establishing a name for himself in 2007 by winning high level amateur events, and in 2012 he again proved he was a competitive force by securing the 1st place at the Dew Tour Free Flow Tour amateur event. He has continued to grow his competitive repertoire ever since.

Heimana’s results include 2nd place at World Skate Championships and the Australian Bowl Riding Championships in 2018, 1st at the Air And Style contest in Los Angeles, California that same year, and wins at the ANOC World Beach Games in Qatar, the International Skateboarding Open in China, and X Games in Boise, Idaho in 2019—as well as taking that World Championships title. At that point, he was on a roll.

When not skating, Heimana teaches kids skateboarding and hosts camps at his family’s skatepark, Proper Ride Shop, in Honolulu, and tries to give back however he can to the community that has given him so much. Still in the early stages of his career, there is so much more to see from this dominant skateboarder as he continues to grow his professional path.

Having first made the National Team in 2020, Heimana qualified to help introduce skateboarding at its inaugural Olympic inclusion in Tokyo as a member of the USA’s first Olympic Skateboarding National Team. Already the world’s top ranked Men’s Park skater, it was a golden opportunity to go one better.
