Join us for the The SkateFolk Block Party with USA Skateboarding
About
Following the broadcast viewing party at the Howard Theater, this event is located in the heart of Washington, D.C. Creating a platform for culture and competition, we will host inclusive clinics for those interested in learning to skateboard. After the clinics, skaters of all skill levels are invited to compete in open best tricks and mini-ramp jams.

Clinic Information
- Presented and operated by Exposure, Harold Hunter Foundation, and D.C. Wheels
- Clinics are staffed with coaches of all genders
- Coaches are trained by Beyond Sport and in “Head in the Game” mental health resources
Contest and Clinic Registration
- Registration is free and handled on-site
- Waiver will be required. Parent/guardian must be present to sign for anyone under 18

- 12pm-1pm: Open Skating on the Mini-Ramp and Street Course
- 1pm-4pm: Clinics on the Mini-Ramp and Street Course
- 1pm-2pm: Sesh(e) - ages 16+, for women, girls, and nonbinary individuals
- 2pm-3pm: Skate Rising - ages 4-16, for women + girls only
- 3pm-4pm: Open for people of all ages and demographics
- 4pm-5:30pm: Open Skating on the Mini-Ramp and Street Course
- 5:30pm: Women’s Cash for Tricks on the Street Course - Obstacle TBD
- 6pm: Women’s Beginner/Intermediate Mini-Ramp Jam
- 8 skaters per jam, 3 runs, skate in order until you fall
- Judged on overall impression
- 6:30pm: Women’s Open Mini-Ramp Jam
- Same format
- 8pm: Awards and see you tomorrow!

X Games Ventura 2024 Presented by Sonic - results

The X Games made its return to Ventura, California this past weekend with full force. Showcasing 150 athletes competing across various disciplines, including Skateboarding, BMX, and Moto X, spectators stomped energetically on the bleachers to cheer on their favorites. Nyjah Huston went home with two Gold medals, marking 15 total Golds in his X Games career. Huston took home gold in Best Trick winning all head-to-head matches. In Men’s Skateboard Street, Huston scored an high score of 95.00, earning his second Gold medal of the weekend. 15 X Games Medals tie Shaun White and Garrett Reynolds for the most overall gold in X Games history. Braden Hoban, riding high on a stellar contest season performance, qualified as a top contender and secured a Silver medal in Men’s Skateboard Street with a score of 90.66. In Men’s Skateboarding Vert, Tom Schaar got Gold on his fourth and final run, earning a 92.00. Jimmy Wilkins wasn’t far behind, placing Bronze with an 89.33. X Games Ventura 2024 demonstrated its commitment to authenticity in action sports and brought the fans and top athletes together for a great weekend.
